My youngest and I will be over in the Seattle area late the afternoon of the 5th, and will have until 3pm on Sunday, to burn. Wouldn't mind getting on the salt , for either salmon (Edmonds?) or shellfish (Hood Canal?). Anybody else interested, or with ideas?

Hmmm ... I hear talk about a Sunday afternoon beach fly fishing session.  Zee?

Although there is a nice low at noon.  We should have Espiga show us the butter clam beds up on Camano Island.

Or both.

Yes my friend. The great scwafish will be in town from NorCal and gonna take him out to some blackmouth/SRC spots that might be working for fly fishing. Richmond Beach or Picnic Point. We'll most likely wade. Will see though. Anyone else who's interested all's welcome.

Hmmm ... I also owe Sean a TON of beer for his work in the CA MLPA process.  We need to figure out an apres fishing location for a "meeting of the minds".   >:D

Hmm, I wouldn't mind meeting Sean. He was great at offering me a kayak to use at the first Elk confab. That was before I found out about my car problems.

Isn't Richmond closed for BM?

Good call. Picnic Point (Area 9) is open so will have to go there. Will have to see how the conditions are but most likely will be around the beach. Shooting for some time around 1-2PM. I'll update those interested.

Zee,

Suddenly I'm interested.  Give me some idea how I might fish this one from a kayak while you guys are on the shore.

If at first you don't succeed....  maybe skydiving is just not for you.

Tom, are you looking for help on the drag over the tracks to the water? ::) I remember it being a bear the day we fished it for the Everett Coho Derby. It would have helped to have more air in my cart wheels. :P

My plans have changed, slightly. I'm still coming over Sat evening but I won't be bringing Janni, which makes it a little easier. I have to be back in Seattle, to pick up a kid for the ride home, at 3:00 on Sunday. That makes meeting at Picnic Pt. around 1:00 or 2:00 unlikely.

I'll probably head out to Pt. Townsend (Mid-Channel Bank) or Pt. No Point. There's a good morning ebb tide with slack around 12:45.

Allen's answer sounds good to me. >:D Ha! JK my friend. I'm actually not too familiar w/ this spot but working on that. ;) The weather looks like it's not going to cooperate tomorrow though. Not sure what we'll exactly be doing. PM'n ya FT.

BTW, Richmond Beach is open to target cutties ... in case you don't want to go so far in the wind and rain.  If the weather turns worse, we can talk story in the local brewpub.

I made it out to PT Saturday evening and slept in a windrocked vehicle. It calmed a little by morning but was still too rough to launch. Went to Pt No Point and flung flies for a while, but kept on getting whacked in the back of the head, so quit early. Guess I should have gone clamming.

We didn't even break the rods out of the cars ... way too windy at Richmond Beach.
