I have a Jackson Coosa Elite that I'd like to sell.

It's Tan, and has been used less than a dozen times.  Has no holes drilled in it and only cosmetic scratches on the hull.

This boat is intended for lakes and rivers.  You can stand and sight fish once you get used to it and get some practice in.

Asking $850  (MSRP new is $1150)

Why are you selling it? Seems like a great boat to me.

Wife is having hip issues and my daughters want to get out on the ocean more, so I'm getting a tandem, and I rarely use the Coosa, so it's going to fund the tandem purchase.  In the last year, the only people to use it were HOW participants.

Thats a cool boat!

It IS a pretty cool yak.  I test drove one for the first time last week.  I was a bit skeptical about a yak made for moving water, thinking it wouldn't track worth shit.  But I was pleasantly surprised.  You get "wobble" in the first 2-3 stokes, but this design seems to settle in and track nicely after that.  The control you have on this yak is nice too, I could turn it 180 after 3 regular sweep strokes.  I can see this boat making a great river yak.  I wasn't a fan of the high setting of the seat.  My 230 paddle seemed about 10 cm too short and I just don't like sitting up high when paddling.  The lower setting was fine though, higher than other seating systems, but not overly high.

Allen thanks for your review.  I getting the coosa for fast moving and thin water rivers around Eugene. I can't wait to get it wet.

After seeing the damage yaktrap did to that Sol Duc Steelie I'm wanting to be able to float the local rivers.  Thinking about the advantages of a Pontoon boat though.
