Light winds, small long period swell... ;D

Okay, maybe it's because my wife's at home sick and someone has take my son to and from daycare (or stay home with him).  But I sure really wouldn't have minded hitting the coast for a few AOTY points and some fish fry fodder.  Hopefully I'll still be able to get out this weekend.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Doe this help?  I was out on the ocean today catching fish. Good conditions. Had a hiccup with video camera so no footage. Only 2 were a keeper size or specie, but i released all fish today:

1 black snapper(smaller then 14 inches)
2 abezons
1 sea trout
See ya on the water..

Roy, were your cabezons of legal size (i.e. >= 16")?
You do realize that they are an AOTY species don't you?  Points man, points!

Greenling (i.e. seatrout) however are not an AOTY species but do make for some great lingasaur bait. Not sure of the Oregon regs on sending rockfish back down as bait. It's legal in California but the "bait" counts towards your daily rockfish limit.

They were sublegal size. The Black was about 13 inches. I'm pretty sure you can't use greenlings as bait, but i will have to check it and make 100% sure.

I had a fantastic Cedar planked  and BBQ'd filet of Ling and Snapper last night so i was feeling merciful today, so i released em to live a little longer..

Now, if i would have caught a 30+ inch ling, that would be a different story.. >:D

Spot, you're killing me!

What's the URL to that webcam so I can punish myself further in the future?

Thanks,
Brian
