That's a beauty!  Is it a triploid?

Probably a triploid , they stock trip and jumbos in that lake.   Nice catch!

Nice fat bow. Almost the same exact size as one I caught for AOTY earlier this year. There are some nice trout there for sure. A nice lake as well.

I worked all day but made it out to American for an hour and a half this evening...picked up this one and lost a nice Koke at the boat.

My appologies...think I might have "hijacked" your thread...not really sure what that means but I think I'm guilty. :police:

Nice fish!  I might make the Nahwatzel a weekly trip. Easy drive to Shelton and a nice small lake. The bow cooked up real nice too!

N is one of my fave lakes ever. You will want to skip it during July and August unless you are fishing for bass of which there are very nice sized ones. About mid Sept the trout turn back on in a furiously amazing way.

If you do fish for trout during the summer it is a slow slow process and you will want to fish the "deep" channel that runs east-west down the center of the lake more toward the outlet.

One other fun surprise you can catch out of the lake is crazy a** wild cutts. There aren't a lot of them but a six inch cutt feels like a fourteen inch stocked rainbow....   ;D

If I get out there this spring, I will shoot you a note to see if you want to go. Nate

I would be down to go weekdays just have to be back by 5 to watch the kiddos while my wife is at work. Been to narwetzal once in blowing rain with no luck and have had zero luck in general trolling
