Caught my first springer on the kayak today!! It was so exciting,  great fight and best yet in front of a crowd of power boaters. Lots of hoots, hollers, and congrats!  Thanks again to Kevin (YakBasser) for the help and photos! Going out again tomorow !!! ( Multnomah Channel just upstream from the channel confluence with the Willamette, cut plug herring and UV Green and silver Kno-Zone flasher, trolling 15-16 feet deep in 20 feet of water)
It's not the destination, but the Journey that makes life interesting!

It was awesome the way it responded the first time you got it close to your kayak, and it saw who had it hooked! Then it was rodeo time with runs in every which direction! Way to put the fight to it! You can't experience real action like that sitting on the couch watching The Fishing Network.  :icon_cheers:

Way to bag a springer, especially in front of the power boats  :D
