Looks like I've got a trip to Norcal in mid Sep and i'd like to include a return to Or again, late Sep early Oct. Any fishing left that late?  I'll plan amd make reservations based on the info I get. Thanx Art

Are you looking to do some kayak fishing or do you want to hire a guide with a boat?  Where in Oregon do you think you might travel.   Here are some thoughts for the greater Portland area...

Portland area rivers (Willamette and Columbia)..
Smallmouth bass
Catch and release white sturgeon

Oregon Coast..
Rockfish and lingcod

Tillamook Bay..
world class fall chinook salmon

  Hi Art,
Sounds like you might not make it to ORC 2013 .Sorry to hear that.

If you can get a little further north you might try to make the Slammin Salmon Tourney at John's River/Westport .It was a lot of fun last year and looks to be even better this year.
Are you RV'ing it again this summer ?We'd love to see you there.
It was in mid-September so might not work for your timing .

All the tidal areas of Oregon should have salmon late Sept. early Oct.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent
