I got my first ever hatchery nook this morning after quite a few tries. It looks exactly like every other hatchery springer I've seen this year but sure tasted good on the grill tonight. I got up really early for this fish.   Trolled a brined and blued herring with no flasher and hooked this in 25 ft near bottom.

Great job, makes me want to fish. Might make it tonight or tomorrow. Great pics, was the blood from the fish or PB operator that tried to wake you out of your kayak.
