Yesterday Shawn McClure brought a LiquidLogic Versa Board out to Chinook Landing for our HOW Rescue Training session. Really looked like a nice platform for fishing.

Started me surfing (the web, not the ocean) and found the new Jackson SUPerFishal standup fishing platform.

Anyone compared these two?

Wondering if anyone's tried these for surf launches and landings and also how they'd do drifting rivers.

So, come on, tell me WUT SUP?

If you wanna try out the SUPerFISHal, I have one (alder creek has a couple too). It's pretty much a floating dock. With a cooler mounted, you can use it as an even taller standing platform. Turns out the easiest way to get up and down from the cooler is to jump.

Floating dock? So not a great paddling experience?

I think it paddles nicely. It is wider than most SUPs, so, yes, it's going to be slower. I kinda like it...
