I need some gloves before I try to catch any more shrimp.  I thought about leather work gloves, but didn't think they'd last very long out in the salt.  Plus I'm thinking they might not be the best for maintaining the dexterity I might need.

I don't need these gloves to keep my hands warm, or dry.  I just don't want to rip any more dime sized pieces of skin off my finger with the rope while hauling up the shrimp pots.

Recommendations?  Low price is good.  Working well and being durable is better though.

I would just buy those cheap cotton gloves that have the rubber palms... they won't last, but they would work for what you are looking for - I think. :)

When I was harvesting shellfish, we used Atlas gloves. They are cheap, durable and can survive all kinds of salt, sand etc.

Atlas baby blues (aka FIT) for me.  Yup, those cheap cotton gloves that have the rubber palms, as revjcp.  And yes, they DO last ... well, I've had one pair that I used crabbing this last season, at least a dozen trips, and they seem no worse for the wear.

Cute little rooster ... I like 2mm dive gloves for cold weather. Atlas work if you aren't trying to stay warm.

Oh yeah, you don't like being cold!   :P  I wear my baby blues up in Alaska and have no issues with being cold.  Shoot, they're the work glove of choice on many commercial fishing boats up there, that's why I started using them.

When you only fish three hours at a time it tough to get cold.... I use atlas gloves everyday ... But they are the full rubberized version.

The more I think about it, I don't actually use gloves because my hands are cold.

My hands get f-ing cold! Plus breaking braid w/o gloves results in cut hands.

While sailing, I use a basic padded palm bicyclist glove. Leaves me fingers free for things like nose picking etc......

Plus I always seem to tear my hands up if I don't wear gloves.

Nice fish YY!

You can get those exact gloves in a 6 pair pack at Costco too, the wife and I use them for all sorts of chores around the house.
