I looked at this section of the site for the first time the other day, clicked on Ocean Kayak's for sale and found a good deal on a Scupper Pro. I've been looking for one or something similar for months. I picked it up on Friday, posted my old boat to Craigs List Saturday and sold it Sunday for more than I paid originally.

Upgrade complete. If only everything worked this well.

Did you buy that SP from up here in WA?  I was wondering why I didn't hear back from the guy past last Thurs.  There was another SP for sale in Vancouver, WA a couple weeks ago that went fast.  Congrats on your new toy.

Yes, I'm looking for an old school dual hatch Scupper Pro.

Allen,

Are you saying that the RSS tool you built might have been the actual cause of you getting scooped on Craigslist?  Nice.  I'm sure another one will come along eventually.

First off ... I didn't build it.  I pooched it from Bill.   ;)

Second ... if someone is going to beat me to something, I'm glad it was someone from here.  I was going to low ball it anyway as I really don't need another kayak, but would have picked it up if I got a good deal on it.

Yeah, I bet it was the same boat, and I'm glad to have it because that Cobra tandem was a less than stellar ocean performer. I had the new one out yesterday for a spin and was impressed, but today was a different story. I took the boat off the truck, put it in the water then stepped on a piece of mussel shell that went through my shoe and into my foot. My wife had fun digging debris out and now I'm home with my foot up.

You're not also looking for a new pair of size 11 water shoes are you PP?

I hadn't realized this CL tool came from Bill, but I finally found it on the NCKA site..

I have to say it's much more useful (and easier to find) in the NWKA version.  Glad to hear it has helped a fellow NWKA member out again.

Hah!!!  You mean the ones you just added "ventilation" to?

Nope, I mean I'm feeling a little guilty about grabbing the boat and want to give you first crack at some shoes.

Well ... no need to feel guilty.

That being said, I am size 11.  What sort of shoes you got?

I dunno, but it might be an NRS woorkboot pretty soon.

As far as the boat, if you make it down to fish off the Oregon coast I think I know where you can ride an old school dual hatch scupper pro. You can call it guilt if you want, but it's more like a bribe because I don't like to ocean fish solo.
