Wanted: Lost Fish

I'm looking for a nice Chinook that I lost today at Pacific City. Likely in the 20 - 25 pound range. It will be easily identifiable by the Okuma Celilo rod and Abu Garcia 6601 C4 reel attached to its mouth. Any leads in helping me to find this fish would be greatly appreciated.

Oh man it sucks to lose a nice fish but the rod too.  You might put some flyers up at pacific city schools.

I almost recorded it but thought stills of the fight would be better. That was a mistake. In that split second, when your rod flew past your grasping fingers, I saw what the transition from hope to utter disappointment looks like. It wasn't pretty....

Too dumb, apparently. I switched my hand holding the rod from right to left when the fish went under the kayak as I was going to net it. Had my hand above the reel, it started to make another run, braid was running over my fingers. I thought "I better move my hand so I don't get cut." Loosened my grip just a little too much, the rod smacked down on my bow and I haven't seen it since.

I Do know the feeling.

Yep, still funny.  I have a few spare rod leashes laying around the house, if you want one.

There is a silver lining. For most people this happens only once.  Sorry about your losses.
