I know I've got two months to go but I'd like to get ideas floating for my trip to Depoe Bay for the ORC.

I'm trying to decide on what day to leave and am currently looking at the 4th of July as my start date.

I'm wanting to show up at Chinook Landing at least a few days early for some prefishing.  Who  else is showing up early and what days?  I could easily be there as early as Sunday for an entire week there.

I also plan on doing some fishing in the PDX area before heading the rest of the way if any of you are interested in setting up a day trip.

I haven't decided if I'm going to prefish or fish sturgeon retention on the Willamette.

I'll be coming down Thursday, pre-fish Friday, and (hopefully) kick some serious tail on Saturday, party hard Sat. night ,and cruise home Sunday.
Is Chinook Bend charging us $20 per night again this year ? Nevermind--I'll call them today and make the reservation.
Be curious to see who shows up early . Hope we get better weather than they are having in Alaska. Snow ????? WTF   Don't those guys know it's almost June????? ::) ::) ::)
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

I missed a couple days of prefishing last year because of the weather.  Eric an I did catch a few fish off the rock cliffs though.

Are any of you going to be fishing in the PDX area on the 8th or 9th of July?  This is when I be passing through headed to Depoe Bay.  I haven't fished anything over there except the Big C and the Willamette.

Something new would be fun.

I'm free the 8th if you want some company in the PDX area.

That would be great.  What type of water / fishes would you want to go chase?

I've mostly fished the Willamette by George Rogers in the kayak, but I'm up for anything. Maybe venture to Hagg or?

Do I just have to tell Chinook Bend that I'm with the ORC 2013 crowd? Is everyone setting up near each other, is it every True for himself, or are we taking over a couple of group areas? I'm looking at getting there Thursday to do some scouting on Friday. Thanks for your responses.
