Hi Guys,

I shared earlier about Bryan dying this morning... crap, it is hard to even type.  Some of you have met Bryan and know him for the great guy that he was... generous, kind, adventurous... Bryan leaves behind a wife and children.  The youngest is 6, I believe he just had his birthday a bit ago.  If you were up halibut fishing you may have met Mindy, his wife and had Josiah throw pinecones at you.  Bryan has a couple of older sons and a daughter as well.

Bryan was self employed and his employees were in the truck with him when they were in the accident.  I don't know what the costs for a funeral are and I don't know what the state of their finances are... I know that, in general, they live as most people... check to check.

Many of you have asked me openly and in private messages if there was a way that you would donate some money to the family.  To that end I opened a paypal account and will collect donations to deliver to Mindy.  Polepole has placed the button in the bar to the left.

One of our NWKA members has generously volunteered to match the total amount donated by NWKA members.

I have been Bryan's friend for a number of years.  Some of that time I served as his pastor... all of that time I have counted he and his wife as friends.  I want to say how proud I am for that heartfelt comments so many of you have shared.  Thank you for your kind generosity.

If you should have any questions, please feel free to PM me.

Blessings, John

Well said, rev. It must be extra hard on you having known him so well.  Thanks for taking the lead on this.  Please keep us posted on what you can find out in terms of funeral service, and where we can send cards.

Growing up without a dad sucks.  I hope the older children are strong and reliable.

Thank you for taking the time to head this effort.

Some have asked for an address where they could send cards.  Here it is... 2415 west 10th street, Port Angeles, WA 98363

The memorial is 1pm, Friday May 24, at Independent Bible Church in Port Angeles.  The address for the church is... 116 E. Ahlvers Rd, Port Angeles, WA 98362

I will be there, all are welcome.  Thank you for the many kind words and donations for his family.

As was mentioned in the other thread, his family has setup a FB memorial page should you want to direct comments in a more direct fashion.

That's just in a couple days and doesn't included the matching offer.

I'm astounded.  The generosity of this community is constantly restoring my faith in mankind.  Well done!

What a huge blessing to his family. Just one more thing that makes me proud to be part of this community.

yes - i know most of you guys work hard and it's tough to break away.

Also, I plan on including all the names of those who have given, but no the amounts.  If you do not want your name included for some reason, please let me know.
