I just ordered the same suit from outdoor play last week. I called in the order and said I wanted it by the weekend. They charged me standard shipping and it was on my doorstep the next day. I was really impressed! The guy I talked to on the phone was great. 2 thumbs up!

I don't think the Kokatats run large.

We are getting personal here.  I am now 5'8" and 145.  At the time I bought my Kokatat Tropos SuperNova I was 5'9" and 155.  At the time I went to REI in my street clothes and tried on the medium and the large.  I bought the LARGE and I am VERY glad I did.  It is a little long for me, but with 3-4 layers of prop and fleece under it I still have plenty of room to move.

Oh to be able to buy a drysuit off the rack... 6'4 and 190ish seems to put me on the 'custom tailored' (aka way too f'in much for my budget!) end of the Kokatat spectrum

Check out USIA. They'll make you a customer suit for about what a Kokatat goes for.

Seen them but their lack of any sort of breathable membrane scares me.  Would love to try their waders though!

My Topos suit doesn't breath worth a crap. I'd just assume go with something that is more durable.

Ahh, that's good to know.  I assumed all these companies with their own proprietary 3-ply membranes were all the expired patent Goretex/PTFE/pre-ProShellPacLite knockoffs that became so prevalent quite a few years back in the outdoors industry.

Yeah, I don't think the Older Tropos material breathed very well.  I tend to overheat if I dont' have breathable gear, so when I first got my drysuit, I opted for Goretex instead of the Tropos.  That being said, I recently got a paddling suit with the new Kokatat Hydrus 3L material.  Daddy like!

The new zippers on the Hydrus 3L suits are really nice too.

I can't compare it to a full goretex suit, but anytime I sweat I end up with wet feet by the end of the day. I had the suit gone through by kokatat a few months ago and I've even tried just not getting my feet wet for the day with the same result. As soon as I get hot my feet sweat first. I've tried a ton of sock combos and none of them see to do the trick. Maybe my booties are restricing the moisture to the foot area? I've been meaning to just try some rubber clog things.

I'd like to try the hydrus, hopefully the next time I send my suit in for repair I'll get a replacement :)

Have you tried on the XL or XXL?  You're outside of the range for weight, but I'd think that you could either just accommodate extra layers or have some extra dessert.

And for Noah and polepole, are you guys complaining about the first generation tropos or the three layer T3 fabric?  I was under the impression that Hydrus was just rebranded T3.

Topos T3 Angler. It's still a great suit, just doesn't breath that well. It might also be problem with my excessive feet sweat :)

Smear anti-perspirant on your feet.
