My wife bought me a Lowrance Mark 4 DSi chartplotter/fishfinder for my birthday, to use on the new Outback. After a lot of research, I decided not to go with the traditional through hull mounting of the transducer. Therefore, I had to think of how to mount the fishfinder so I could have the transducer mounted on it's own over the side of the yak. Here's what I came up with:

Tools and supplies:
38 year old  Craftsman circular saw
A saw blade for cutting plastic
38 year old Skill hand drill
$15 worth of stainless screws and hardware
    $12 plastic cutting board
A short length of 3/4 pvc pipe
    Goop
    A large rubber gasket
    Spray paint
A Ram mount that I got at one of the ORCs

I am sure there are a couple of other items that I am forgetting to mention, but here is
what I came up with!

I am still working on the battery and power connections! All the extra wiring fit perfectly in the box.

Looks cool! Is the blue box just a mount from the RAM to the ff? Or does it hold some of the extra cable too? I see it has the transducer arm mount.
