Friday Harbor today and tomorrow

Sitting in the ferry line. Just a recon trip for August family vacation. No yak but got some fly, bass and spinning gear just in case. May hit Cabela's on the way home tomorrow.

Ideas?

Stop by King's Market on Spring Street and go to the upstairs, there is a little sporting goods store up there. Ask them what are some good bets. You can can also buy some tackle up there. I might pick up some light jigs and go throw them off some rocks on the West Side of the Island. Check out Lime Kiln State Park, you can hike down and fish off the rocks. It's also a great spot for whale watching.  Check with King's on what exactly is open though. There is also a fresh water lake but I've never fished it. Hit up Vic's Drive Inn at 25 2nd St for a great burger and fries too.

That lake looks sweet. May rent a yak and toss some jigs, plugs and spinners for bass if locals confirm. Even brought the bugwand & bass poppers.

Gotta keep the bride happy though so may hit some shops and fish late afternoon.

Dining at Vic's, thanks for the tips. checked out Kings and picked up couple of bass lures. Met a kayak fisherman at Egg Lake. Gonna rent a Hobie i12 and hit Sportsmans for bass this afternoon.

Such a great place! Gotta get back up here and sail, fish and camp with the TI for a week or two.

I spent a summer up there when I was in college. One of my favorite places. Make sure you make it over to the west side, the county campground is fantastic. Perfect kayak launch site of the westside too. 

Rented an i9 and fished Egg Lake for about 90 minutes, no luck. May hit Sportsmans early. Tough place to leave.
