Is this it?

Okay, I need a new battery.

I have two older 12V SLA batteries.  One is a 7Ah that has been abandonded for about 6 years and will now only charge up to 10.8 V. The other is a 3.5Ah battery which is too small and only puts out about 1A of current so it works, but only for a short while.  The amperage actually drops too low before the charge drops below 12 V.  I'll just keep that one for the old Eagle Cuda 245ds.

Looking at the specs on the 20000Ah battery linked above...

Astro Pro2 Spec:
-- Input: 15-19V / 1.3A (max)
-- Output: DC 12V, 4A / 16V, 3.5A / 19V, 3A(max); USB 5V, 2.1A
-- Size: 7.3 x 4.9 x 0.6 inch; Weight: 19.8 ounce
-- 18 months warranty

It seems that 12 V 4A might not work as the fuse that comes with the unit is a 3A.  Or am I over thinking this?  Is it 12 V at 3A coming out of the battery no matter what or is that just the max amperage and the actual amperage is a function of draw from the fish finder?

Forgive me, my college physics was over 20 years ago and I'm a bit rusty.

Electricians correct me if Im wrong,  but the battery should only put out what the ff is drawing. It looks like the max output of the battery at 12v is 4amps. As long as the ff draws less than 3amps (what your ff fuse limits at)  you will be fine.
