Personally I think the primary stability of the Outback is awful! It wallows easily regardless of conditions. The secondary stability on the other hand is excellent!

The T13 has far better primary stability and almost as good secondary stability.

As far as weight ratings go ... The factory numbers are pretty useless. I have a Addy and am 220 without gear. I figure my launch weight is about 250-260. I have added about 60 to 70 pounds of fish to the tank well and had a heavy leak that had about 20 gallons of water in the hull and I was able to get back home just fine.

I got the Revo 13 and will be on the water tomorrow after work  :) thanks all for your input! Next adventure staff were very knowledgeable and quite helpful. That was the easiest $2k I ever spent.

Now comes the rigging...

I think the 20 gallons of water increased the stability, but sure increased the load getting back.

I can absolutely guarantee that 20 gallons of water dramatically decreases stability! As the level of water rises inside the hull the stability drops rapidly. To the point that it feels like you are sitting on a round log that roll over if you sneeze. It is not a comforting feeling.

It's this, in your kayak. Along with you and all of your other gear.

Curious? How does the revolution stability compare to the trident 13?

I have one of each.  I started in the T13 and after a couple of years moved to the Revo13.  There is little difference in the stability. Adjustment was a non-issue.  When I started kayak fishing I went with a T13 before I had ever been in a kayak of ANY type at any time, though I had been in canoes a number of times.  After a couple of trips on a small, smooth lake I was comfortable.

Water IN your hull decreases stability.
