Sooo, I've been lurking on this site for awhile and decided I should introduce myself.  I recently purchased a hobie outback.  I used this site and a few others to narrow my search to either a revo or the outback.  I was convinced I was going to go with the revo until I took a test drive.  Long story short I walked out with an outback!  I live in Des Moines and hope to fish the sound and trying to throw a crab pot.  Also will be fishing Lake Roosevelt.  Reading the places where you all fish, the areas to fish seem endless!  Took my yak on its maiden voyage last week to coffeepot lake in E. Wa.  landed a nice chunky 'bow lost another (on a fly).  Have yet to drill a hole in the boat yet, think I will wait after I've had it out a few times before I decide where to start mounting stuff.  Looking forward to some better weather to get out some more!  (hope I haven't rambled to much for an intro!)

Welcome! You're going to love the Outback. There's plenty of info/advice to gather when you finally decide to drill a couple holes.

IslandHoppa: No not from Doctor Who.  My daughter is a Doctor Who fan but I am not. I have to admit I went to wikipedia to find out what a TARDIS is!! 

LingLing:  Have you ever fished Tenmile Lake?  My grandparents used to have property there and I spent many summers there as a kid(many years ago!!)  Many great memories from that lake.

I used to fish ten mile a lot as a kid. Mostly for bass and bluegill. I haven't fished the lakes from my kayak but I plan to. I need largemouth for my AOTY score! I'm trying to keep my top ten entries as local as possible. My goal is to catch 20 of the 25 listed species and most of them I have confidence I can catch in my area.
