Here is a live cam shot from Trollers Lodge--that's right above the "jaws" of Depoe Bay.

This is the best it has looked all week.

  Bring it on........ :D

Weather is between 50s and mid 60s, not a cloud in the sky.  Can't get much better than that.

A little rain often helps to keep the wind down. Saturday is shaping up to be pretty nice but Friday could be better.

I've been using Marine weather by bluefin for a mobile phone app for weather conditions for quite sometime - i was curious what other people are using for mobile updates on conditions?

We don't want to have conditions like I was in last Tuesday coming in on an outgoing tide in the Humboldt bay bar.  Here is a video with a part of the crazy ride.

Reading the NOAA forecast it looks totally fine in the morning with a N wind picking up later in the morning.

Is there any protection from a N wind and NW swell on the fishing grounds?  Without having fished it before, looking at forecast and charts it looks like totally reasonable conditions especially with the slightest protection from either wind or swell.

As I see it right now, Saturday is looking to have about as good of conditions we can ask for.  Friday might be a bit windy.  There isn't any structure that will provide refuge from a north wind in the area that most people fish unless you tuck back into the bay on the north side of the channel.
