Anyone fishing the Seattle sound area this weekend?  I have just installed my downrigger and would love to go out with a more vertern fisherman.

Man, I'm still working on mine. I think I have it all figured out though. I'm trying to use a minimal amount of gear for a c-clamped Scotty Laketroller and a base-mount Scotty Depthmaster. All I need now is 5 feet of Schedule 80 3/4" pipe.

I'm going to be doing commencment bay this weekend. The puyallup is already getting fish, and you can fish right up to the mouth.

Doesn't the commencement bay closure area preclude that?

Just checked the reg, you can't fish the mouth area until August 1.

Page 118 of the reg:

Commencement Bay Closure: Waters east of a line bearing 215° true (195°30' magnetic) from the Cliff House Restaurant on north shore
(approximate position 47°17.85'N, 122°25.90'W) through Sperry Ocean Dock (approximate position 47°16.43'N, 122°27.37'W) -
Apr. 1- Apr. 30, and June 1-July 31: CLOSED to fishing for SALMON. Aug. 1-Mar. 31 and May 1-May 31: same rules as Marine Area 11 - ENTIRE
AREA. See Department of Health (DOH) Fish Consumption Advisory on page 20.

Point No Point hasn't been to bad. Possession is scratching out fish too.

Dash Point State Park on Sunday. Gate opens at 8 am. Don't forget to purchase a Discovery Parks Pass.

Hey Tenhunter,

Have not heard anything about the action but thinking of fishing off of Golden Gardens (West Point to Meadow point) Sunday. The High is at 10:00 AM and it is going to be overcast in the morning so it should be favorable for Salmon fishing assuming they are around. Checked out the Locks last week and there were a good number of Sockeye and a couple of nice Kings in the view tank.PM me if you are interested in meeting up.

Tomas

Yeah I am up for it!  Again it will be my first trolling trip and may ask too many questions.
