I've been lurking on this forum for a while for ideas and information and just wanted to finally drop a HELLO! You guys and gals are a hoot and I love reading your posts. Thanks for everything.

I'm an intermediate sea kayaker with a sit inside Wilderness Systems Cape Lookout 145 rigged the best i could for fishing. It's cockpit is snug but gets the job done I guess. I caught my first trout from my kayak last week at Timothy lake and felt so jazzed on the accomplishment. My wife and I cooked up my prize that night and it was the tastiest meal. She asked me to do more fishing so told me I need to finally say hello to all the guys at NWKA. Cool wife , eh?

My father never taught me how to fish so I'm self taught and always open to learn from the best. I've mostly fished from the banks (Willamette, Clack, Sandy, done some crabbing from Newport, but now open to more adventurous outings with a kayak.  I hope some of you can give me ideas and possibly take a newby out in the near future.

Thanks for having me aboard! ;D

I wanted to join you folks for the Oregon Rockfish Classic a few weeks ago but already paid my Cycle Oregon bike ride in Corvallis. Really bummed, you have no idea. Next year I'm going for sure. See you then with my Barbie pole.
