I am going to launch at golden gardens tomorrow around 6am.  I'll be a yellow sit-on-top kayak.  I have installed a fish finder and I am looking forward to trying it out.  Let me know if you are heading out as well, or just paddle over and say hello.

Thanks

There is a 50/50 chance that I will make it out there tomorrow morning. If so, I will be on a Dune colored Hobie PA12.

I am dying over here in Pennsylvania (doing Army Reserve stuff). I want to be fishing in WA not dreaming about fishing in Pennsylvania. Hope to see you out there next weekend. Nate

I was actually able to make it out today for about 3 hours. The water was pretty calm and there weren't too many boats. Wasn't able to meet English but met another kayak fisherman.

I only briefly had a fish on. Spoke with some boaters and they picked up a king and said the guys in a sailboat caught one as well.

Ali.

I didn't make it out until about 2pm for various reasons.  Trolled for about 2 hours using an artificial herring plug - no bites.  I am thinking about heading out again this week (maybe Monday) early before work.  I baked in my drysuit yesterday and I am hoping the fishing might be a little better in the morning.  Still waiting to catch my first Salmon in this Kayak.

If you're at indiantown gap and can escape, head north to the Susquehanna and fish for small mouth and rock bass. Might not equal the salmon stoke you're looking for but could help kill the itch There's a large stone arch railroad bridge spanning the river ( one of the largest in the country) that is a serious haven for fish.
Head into Harrisburg on I 81 to the Bass Pro Shops store for licenses and gear or over to Colonial Park to the Gander Mountain store for the same.
Also, famed guide and fly fisherman Bob Clouser is in that area and could be a good way to hook up if a guided trip is in the budget.
I think I can still contact John Oast, ( toast) and hook the two of you up if you'd like a kayak trip too. Will have to work on that a bit.
Let me know if I can help

Oh and sorry bout the threadjack. Just trying to help a guy out.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I was unable to escape. I was also at Tobyhanna. Beatiful area that looks like it has awesome fishing potential I just wasn't able to arrange a chance to go. Fortunately I am back in the PNW so will be able to hit up the sound and maybe lower Snoho.
