Has anyone solo fished out of either of these?  If so, better from the front or rear seating position?

Oasis is fine from either position, though if you are over 200 # the front seat starts to be better the heavier you get.  The back seat is really good for surf landings.

Outfitter has the sport/outback hull design, so it's a little harder to move

Thanks.  Actually tested an Oasis yesterday afternoon tandom and solo. Made the purchase. I plan on adding a little ballast when my wife won't be fishing with me.  There will be plenty of room for all kinds of stuff now that's for sure.  I will pick it up tonight hopefully and will be fishing it ASAP.

Bank is busted and the deal is done.  Now I just need to mount the rod holders and fish finder. Will be on the water this weekend.

Lake Tapps?  You're right down the street from me.

Yup, Tapps. Fish it all the time for smallmouth and Tigers. Have had an awesome summer fishing around the island.  Plan on wetting the new rig in the Duwamish waterway this weekend for some silver action and maybe the green can.
