Yaquina bay 8/29 crabbing and Depoe 8/30 fishing.

BlueWRX02 and I plan to do some kayak crabbing using our CrabHawks in Yaquina Bay on Thursday 8/29 morning-afternoon.

Then hit Depoe Bay bright and early Friday 8/30 for some bottom fishing. 

Feel free to meet us out there either or both days. 

Monitoring channel 69 as usual.

Not to be a thread jack but is any one interested in fishing Sat? I was thinking siletz or salmon river WX dependent. Ill be working the other days

Yes, we will be putting in at the north side Hatfield Marine Science Center parking lot right there in the sand.
Peddling straight out through the opening of whatever that wood structure is and out in the the channel.

If you only knew what we went through when we where out there near you in TN, GA, and AL. 
Lets just say my father needed a retirement intervention by the time we got to Amarillo TX afterwards.

Anyways, I've never dropped a trap out of Depoe, but there is enough sand for Dungees North or South of the first buoy that you shouldn't have much trouble finding a spot in some 40-50 ft of water.  Heck you could probably drop a trap or two right outside either side the harbor entrance.
Obviously you don't want them too close to the harbor entrance in the event they go rogue on ya.

Nope, blew right threw TN from north to south to get to Chattanooga ASAP. 
Those folks drive worse than anyone I have ever seen.  Too many times I had small cars challenge me for lane occupation. 
Needless to say, I did not give in and they had to lay on the brakes hard, followed by the horn and choice finger out the window. 
12,000 lbs vs 2000 lbs.      I win!

Some in the siletz its an early morning bite on cut plug or spinners. Salmon river heard they are at the mouth of the bay and lots of bird action, mix of coho and nook.
