That's right folks, I am not kidding! Get yourself a free G-Loomis rod and reel.

Here is how:

Simply go to Snohomish, and head north on the river to the "big log." There you will need to dredge for an unspecified amount of time until you find the one that slipped out of my hand yesterday on a snag.  >:(.
I think I recall reading something about a rod leash somewhere.  :-[

Been there done that, so far donated two setups to Dave Jones, averaging about one per year.

Yup, been there myself. What a sick feeling as you watch your favorite rod slip out of sight...immediately preceded by wild and frantic thrashing as you try in desperation to grab it.

I have watched my rod fall into the drink several times. Rod leashes are awesome. I made some for all my set ups for less than $10. Do the math, buddy! I can't say that I feel sorry for you. >:D

I turned down the TV Volume, bowed my head own and observed a moment of silence on your behalf
 :(

With the Rod being a Loomis,  dare I ask what reel went down with it ?
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

That really sucks!  I donated a brand new reel on a nice rod this year out at Dash as I helplessly watched it sink down in 20 ft water. Worse yet I own numerous leashes.  I took it off as I was working out a tangle. Learned my lesson the expensive way.  Have since purchased some rod floats from Cabellas online.  Work great (tested near shore) and inexpensive vs. the $200 setup I unexpectedly donated to Davey Jones.  Have a cold beer and remember the lesson learned

YOU AIN'T GONNA BELIEVE THIS.
No I didn't retrieve my Loomis Pole from the River. I tried in vain to snag it with another pole and even dredging with my anchor.  I couldn't even bring up fishing line or nothing  >:(. And let me assure you, I did give it a good honest try. Then the Sky opens up on me and douches me with rain (right as I get my anchor stuck on an underwater log.) I am now soaking wet in the middle of the river caught in a monkey trap. Do I now loose my new anchor too? Surely not. I refused to let my anchor line go, and couldn't not free it.

In comes the lightning....
Now I got big F'N problem going on. My Sims rain coat is stowed in the bow, I am drenched in the middle of the river with my anchor stuck, I'm down a really nice fishing pole, and running the risk off being cooked like the fish I WAS seeking.

Davy Jones spares me any further torment and releases my anchor...

Tired,Wet, and dejected.....I set sail for home. Well.... more like the boat launch, and if you have never been to the launch in Snohomish, you cannot fully realize the cacophony and cluster F#&* that awaits one there. "Here let me back your trailer down the hill for you." " no no, I got it. "  ummmm.....sure you do.
And to the guy that just has to pulled forward so that I can't back out and drive off (soaking wet) away from all you crazies.....Well, I'm sure you know where I am going with this. >:(

Now a sunny holiday weekend, we decide to stay home, clean up around the house, and relax instead of going away. I start to put my gear away that is cluttering up the garage.  I see the kids Barbie fishing pole tossed where neglectful kids do, so I grab it and take it to rod rack on the garage wall when I notice something peculiar. That rod hanging in the rack is blue. Blue just like my....well....Loomis Gl2 9' Medium rod is.

It appears I lost the Lamiglass!!!!! ;D
Don't get me wrong, I does really suck, but somehow, sometime ago, I must have swapped the reel over to other rod so I still have my favorite pole. I shocked I didn't notice it. Well... not really :)

Yes I am quite embarrassed, but I forced myself to tell you this tale to free my soul from Poseidon's clenched fist.
