green/duwamish river

Anyone used their yak in these waters of the Duwamish down in Renton by the Boeing plant?  Its an area that's greatly affected by the tides... heard of float tubers launching by the mouth floating up stream on the incoming tide then back to their launch location on the outgoing when the river starts flowing the right way... could such a tactic work for us in yaks as well?

I launched at Duwamish Waterway Park in South Park last Friday.  Really liked the hand carry boat launch, but imagine it could get busy if there are a lot of people casting.
