Hi folks. I am about to pull trigger on Hobie Adventure with the idea to upgrade it to AI in a couple of years. I will use the yak primarily for fishing. Any reasons why I should choose another model instead of Adventure?

As long as you've demo'd the other boats and are happy with an adventure, I don't think anyone here is going to give you a good enough excuse to change your mind.

Make sure you have room to store a 16 foot boat. Mine just barely fits in my garage.

Adventures are awesome.  You can't go wrong... unless you only plan to bass fish in small ponds.

It you're considering the Adventure then the only other model I would suggest to you is the Revo13.  It doesn't quite have the speed that the Adventure does, but it's a more versatile boat.

+1 on the bass comment. Unless you plan to spend a lot of time on small lakes/ponds you'll love the addy!

This is how I kept my previous yak. The Adventure is just 2.5 feet longer.

Nah...  Majority of fishing will be in the sound.

Gotta love the Adventure. It truly shines in the Ocean IMO, but its great for covering long distances on the lakes and the Sound/estuaries as well. Its turning radius is a bit much for whitewater etc or small ponds as mentioned above. That being said its an extremely capable craft in the open water. Fitted with thigh straps, its even pretty decent in the surf with its relatively low center of gravity.

I love my adventure.  It really shins when conditions turn.  It can really handle the current and waves much better than my smaller kayaks.  I can really maintain my speed even when the wind starts howling.  It is a little heavy to deal with on land, but a cart makes transport to and from the truck easier.  I also have a hullavator which really helps to get in on the roof.  On the water is where it really excels.  I love a fast boat, much less effort to travel the distance.  The revo is a real nice boat, but I like the longer cockpit for extra leg room, and the larger tank well for my large fish  ;D

One other word of advice is be careful with your rigging. Not as much usable/cuttable deck space as the revo or especially the outback. WindandEmotion almost figured this out the hard way. Here's the link to my rig. The front rod holders aren't too bad for me @ 6'2, but if I were much shorter they would be almost unusable. I'm sure W&E will send you pics of his rig too if your looking for more ideas.
