Anyone know the story about Jim's and the ferry launches? A friend of mine was just telling me they are both shut down b/c they are Federal areas--and the state patrols may be checking them to keep people out. It never even occurred to me while I planned to take the raft down tomorrow. I did a quick google news check and didn't see anything helpful.

A little further reading--the lake will be open, and Sportsman's should be. Crazy stuff...

I was looking at a tiny window on Sunday when I might be able to get out to fish, and was thinking either Upper Kenai or the Talkeetna for rainbows and Dollies.  Would you update the info on the Upper Kenai access if you can before Sunday.  Much appreciated.

I won't have anything to report. I am heading north instead. My understanding from a similar discussion on the Alaska outdoor forum is that sportsman's should be open, but not Jim's. I'm sure others know more definitely...but not me. I'll have my son with me, and so no kayaks involved. We may make the drive to Willow or Montana creek. Or...heck, maybe we'll just go to the Dome and hit buckets of balls and wish we were fishing. :-)
