ok guys, i just found out one of my pfleuger fly reels suddenly has a bent outer rim... any ideas on a self help fix or should i send it back to the factory?? this was like a $300 reel about 5 years ago :dontknow:

 :o At that price point, I would think they would have a good warranty/repair service.

I'd call Pflueger and ask them. I've sent STH reels to Cortland a few times for repairs, and have always been happy with the service and pricing. Hopefully Pflueger will treat you the same. Here's a link....]\

Is it the rim of a spool, or the frame of the reel?

it's the reel frame. i noticed it when i tried to strip off the old line to replace very old backing and found myself wondering why the spool had jammed..  :-[
