Hey All,

Some of you may know that Todd (yaktrap) and I (ballardbrad) started a business called Kayak Fishing Washington.  We are slowing getting things off the ground but will be teaching some classroom and on the water clinics, as well as, doing some guiding down the road.  We will be putting on our first clinic next month on the basics of kayak fishing which will cover rigging, safety, and of course fishing in our state.  If you know of anyone that could benefit from this, please forward!  Thanks.

Kayak Fishing Basics

Presented by: Todd Switzer and Brad Hole of Kayak Fishing Washington

Date: Nov 14, Thursday

Time: 7pm-8:30

Issaquah City Hall (Police Station)

Eagle Room

130 E. Sunset Way

Issaquah WA 98027

Clinic Description:  This dry-land introduction to kayak fishing will cover the basic set-up of a fishing kayak including placement of rod holders, fish finders, tackle and other equipment storage aboard rigged fishing kayaks. Basic kayak safety equipment will be discussed with a particular emphasis on safety in northwest waters. And without question we will be discussing the many year-round kayak fishing opportunities the northwest has to offer with videos of local kayak fishing.

Slight chance I could actually make that.  If I'm not either gearing up for some chum fishing or late season blacktail hunting.

Only if you promise to divulge your perch fishing secrets that allowed you to catch that monster before your photo shoot  :o

I don't think I can make this one, but am really looking forward to the other clinics you guys are planning.  I think there's been a bit of a void in the Seattle area kayak fishing businesses and am glad that you two stepped up to fill it!

Just a quick follow up on the Kayak Fishing Basics Clinic we're holding Thursday night in Issaquah.  I know there are several newbees to the board that might benefit from this - and it's free.

And I will divulge some perch fishing tips -  if Fungunnin will tell us how he catches those chrome bright chum from a kayak. :)

Thanks for everyone that came out last night.  We had 30-35 people at the event, many of them kayakers, interested in fishing.  It was nice to see a few guys from NWKA there as well.  Come see us at the Northwest Sportsman's Show in Puyallup in January.
