Sunday Nov 24. Homer? Anyone?

In Seattle for the marine expo.  Should be back late Friday or early Saturday.  Contemplating a run down on Sunday if marine weather holds.  Any interest?  Tides should be perfect. High tide in morning, dropping till noon.   Upper 20's to low 30's air temp.  Likely the best it's going to be until March or April. I hear the kings are still close.

As usual, the scariest/risky aspect of the trip is the drive down to Homer.

Looks like a decent marine forecast off the spit for Sunday...  go get 'em Rudy! Watch out for moose and black ice, though. 'Tis the season.

I'd do it if I weren't hunting

Just got back. Getting tires swapped on the truck. Seriously electrical issues though. No heat no tach or oil gauge. Hmmmm. 

Whittier has some appeal. Get my fix in. One in a million I hit salmon or frankly anything, it'd be pretty cool!!  One vs four hours one way is a huge plus!!

Still pondering....and people wonder I fish alone...decisions are always last second. Argh.

Homer it is. Forecasting 20knts but only 2ft. Wind currently ENE so spit should afford some protection. Roads not bad but it's definitely winter.

Good luck and be safe on the roads. Looking forward to the report, as always. For what it's worth, I hear that winter kings are showing in Shotgun Cove, though my informant is one who talks better than he walks. 

Slow but one so far. Maybe 10lbs!
