I'd bet 16-18lbs.  Nice slab of meat there!

Nice fish!

By "flutter lures", is that a specific lure brand? Or just like a vertical jigging type of deal?

My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

Cool, that's a mold I'd like to get. (the one with the 2 and 3 oz slot - right?) Very versatile. They can cast a mile, you can troll, jig, or whatever.
I've had a fair amount of luck (esp. rockfish) with that type, but I've also lost quite a few to snags as well. I've tried using one assist hook at the top, at the bottom, varied the length of the hook, and everything but they still like to snag. User error perhaps; but how do you rig your stinger?

Ya its one with 2-3 oz.I didn't loose any in 2 days of hard fishing.the assist hooks that I used were a major brand can't remember it tho, and 1 I tied on a red octopus 2/0 or 3/0.I only used 2 jigs in 2 days.I had to change from 1 to the other due to a beating it took on the rocks and getting chewed up.I never got to use a 3oz  so I don't know how it will fair yet.if you do happen to get a mold make sure you "smoke" it first tho.the lead pours so much better and doesn't wrinkle.

Nice fish.  Cabbie weight variance is amazing to me.  At the ORC a few years ago, I had a 28 incher which weighed 12+ pounds.  The winning fish was one inch longer but 7 pounds heavier.  And it just looked massively bigger all around.  I think at some point they just keep getting bigger instead of longer.  Thanks for posting.
