How can you not love that boat, huh? ...I'll take 2!

Better to keep ones mouth shut and presumed a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

If I could afford it that would be a potentially good hunting platform, including for elk.  With that weight capacity if you were able to completely bone out the animal you could, depending on your body weight and how much gear you had, pack out everything in one trip.  It would be tight though.  You could easily do it in 2 trips, vs the 2 trips minimum, probably 3, in my older Prowler 13.

Almost identical to the old town predator. Only the predator is 14', different carry handles, and there's no division infront of the tankwell, so the floor is flat all the way through. Makes a nice spot to slide rods, gun case...

Weight capacity on the Predator 13 (it's 13'2", only 5" longer than the Prowler Big Game II) was listed at 400-425lbs.  The PGB II is listed as 550-600lbs.  There's got to be more differences in the designs than what you mention to get an extra 150-175lbs in weight capacity.

14' was a fat finger typo. Should have been more clear, but I was referring to the deck layout/general appearance. Even comparing specs they are very similar boats. In the end it's still the same parent company anyhow

If you look in the pictures, the shape of the hull at the waterline is considerably different, likely what makes the big game have a higher capacity.  You push it another inch down and it's going to displace a lot more water than the Predator would if it were pushed down another inch.

That said, I don't like either for an offshore boat and would pick the predator for hunting.  It's pretty hot shit for a layout blind and could handle large mammals.

This is a prime example of why comparing stats doesn't tell the whole story.  The Big Game and the Predators are entirely different beasts.  I should be getting a BGII in to refresh myself on this, but I did own the original BG for a while and the hull sides of the I and II are supposedly the same.

Well, the relative merits of each is a moot point for me anyway.  A couple promotions at work with attendant raises and that would be a different story.

Are we to see more of the beach chair seating style from OK in the future? Sure, everyone is looking for a great seat on their boats, but I think that's a trend we could do without.

I don't have any knowledge of future OK seat designs.  That being send, I like the trend.  Lawn chair seating sure is comfortable, granted it is not for all uses.  I'd love to see a hybrid design in which I can remove the high seat and sit in the more traditional formed seat.  The low setting on many high-low designs isn't low enough IMO.

Uhn huhn. OK.

Wondering how a Surf to Summit high end seat would work on that puppy?

I do really like the drillable inserts for pole holders ect.  nice to be able to drill and not have it be permanent.

Looks like a well thought out boat.  I like it!
