Hey fellas, question...

Would love to enter my little fella for fun but I'd have to tow him or we'd have to tandem on the Fish - n- dive, that ok or does he need to be able to entirely self propel (he's 6). And yeah, signing up for my first AOTY , looking forward to it.
That's no problem. I think Brian's son usually sits behind him in his yak and fishes that way.

Do it for the kids.  No rule sticklers here.  As long as you get the kid out on a kayak and would proudly post "look what my kid caught", it's all good.  That means some helping is allowed, as they are kids after all, so we leave that up to your discretion.  Above all, have fun, the both of you!

I've got to say I really like the creativity with the kid's names. Crabbykid, Nauguspup, Osteves... are we going to get Firstmate Redbeard and Dot (Spot)?

Firstmate Redbeard, I like it!

With my son Owen he fished in front of me when he was 3 and 4 and then behind me in the tankwell when he was 5,6 and 7. Now that he's eight and a bit bigger I went ahead and got a tandem.   A year or two of tandem fishing and then he'll probably get his one little kayak to fish from.

Attached are two photos. The first is him at age 3 sitting in front of me. He's basically sitting on my Trident 13's sonar shield or sometimes the far end of the rod pod my feet.  In the second photo he's sitting, facing backwards, in my Ultra 4.3's tankwell.

Thanks fellas, and yep, plan on having some fun this year! Fischer (yep, that's his real name) normally occupies the front jump seat. Looking forward to it. There are some nice fish up this way :)

Lee, the look on your kiddos face is priceless. When my daughter was little she would ask every time we boated a fish whether it was a "lunch fish." Of course that was code for 'are we gonna kill it and eat it?'  If I said 'yes' she would cover her face and her ears during the 'bonk.' Funny stuff. :)

I got the Nanguspup out on American Lake today. Today was all about her...I don't think I've ever had a better day on the water.
She managed an easy 5-trout limit and I can still see her excited little face...I don't remember if I caught anything or not.

You and SalmonShark should be good to go now.  I just enabled your accounts.
