Hello everyone,  my name is Rick, I live near Coos Bay, and I'm retired law enforcement.  I've been fishing all my life and recently started kayak angling, here on the west coast, after a vacation to Florida where I was introduced to kayak fishing by a friend.  It gives many aspects of fishing a fresh new perspective.  I'd like to get together with others here in my area to fish offshore, bays, lakes, and rivers.  Thanks for accepting me as a member of the group.   Firefly51

Great, I'm looking forward to it!  I've just ordered a Malibu X-Factor and I'm putting together a crate.  I'll let you know as soon as I have it together and we can do a shakedown.  I'm open to any and all advice and suggestions for gear.  Thanks for the response Chris, see you soon. R    ;D

Right on Ling ling, I'm sure we know a few of the same people. I miss living there but there isn't much options for my career there. We'll hafta plan a trip sometime when the fish are in.

Gentleman, I'm a busy guy who loves adventure fishing and I crave it for MY time. Ill fish anything but I mostly fish to eat & fill the freezer. I've been rigging together an Ocean kayak for fishing for the last 3 years and its a dream come true as it finally is all coming together. Just scored my first Ling Cods the other day & learned a humble experience getting out past the breaks. If anyone wants a fishing buddy that will go to all extremes to make it happen & loves every minute of it, you know where to find me. I'm not much for blogging but I do a lot of reading & exploring through hands on experience.
