I BETTER have coffee in my system WELL before I get there!!! Leaving at 4:30 a.m. is going to suck as-is. Chris- What time does your shop open? I'll need a refill and a pit stop around there, if ya know what I'm sayin'.

Hot coffee on the water--- thats good stuff
Ron did that for a bunch of us on the Willamette a couple of Decembers ago-- and burgers and dogs too. Made for a great day

Good luck out there boys
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Fished sunset/simpson almost 9 hours today. Ocean was pretty crappy in the morning but it smoothed out a little by the afternoon. Fishing wasnt amazing but it was decent. I spent a lot of time trying to get a good greenling for aoty. Probably caught nearly 30 of them but nothing over about 15.5 inches. I used some of them for live bait and caught 3 or 4 lings and lost a few others. Nothing over 30 inches. I caught a pretty nice cabbie also. Also caught half a dozen good sized perch and some small blacks. Fishing near the rocks with sand shrimp is pretty much nonstop perch and greenling.

The coffee shop thing flopped :( I closed down a few weeks ago! I'm pretty bummed but life must go on. I could bring an air pot out to the launch if you really want some coffee!

Thanks Chris. That's awful nice of you, but I was just ribbing you. But I was seriously going to support your shop if it was still operating. I will have plenty of coffee in my system by the time I get there.
That reminds me... I need to re-wax my drysuit zippers....

By the way Evan... I don't know what your definition of "Fishing wasn't amazing" is, but  you say...30 greenling, half a dozen lings, Blacks, perch... and non stop action on perch and greenling.... SHEESH! Sounds like a great day to me! Wish I could have joined you. Looking forward to Wednesday!

Speaking of Wednesday, what's the roster looking like? How many confirmed bodies do we have and what time is everyone planning on launching? Evan and I talked last night and launching at first light is our plan.

I was wondering the same thing. Have not heard too much from the dynamic duo since salmon season.

Wish I could join everyone. I haven't been able to yak since Oct 2! I am still a little sore from surgery, but hopefully I will at least be able to hit the lakes sometime in the next couple of weeks. Hope everyone has a great day on the salt!
