DFO posted today that hali opens Feb. 1st! This is the first Feb. 1st opening in many years! The slot restrictions from last year have paid off. Thank you to the guys from South Vancouver Island Anglers Coalition for their efforts about getting our message across. I'm out of town this weekend but after that....let the games begin!!

I'm trying to get my wife to go to the Chilliwack in the summer. A quick jaunt to Victoria wouldn't hurt anyone either, would it?

Oh, I'd more than likely bring my own (the Ms. Salma). She'd get jealous if I was with any other kayak... I appreciate the offer though!
