I have a friend from a hunting site in NJ that asked me to try this new camera mount out this past summer.  It was pretty much in the tweaking mode when I tried it and he has made a few changes since then.  When I tried it, it worked well on the kayak and I had some great videos for him to check out.  I am not sure it's something I would want to be wearing in rough salt water conditions,  but on those days when everything comes together with fish and weather, I think it would be a great tool for some great videos.  Check it out and  let me know what you think.

I thought that I would have trouble casting from the kayak with this on,  but it seemed to be a non issue.

I'd be interested to see what those tweaks were. How did the system fit you while wearing a PFD? It seems like a pretty cool idea. A guy could get really creative with camera angles.

Must be alien technology.

When I used it,  the arm kept falling down a little while I was casting, the newer arm is rigid enough to stay in place, but not too rigid to move to the position you wanted.  I was wearing a light weight self inflatable PFD at the time and it was not a problem at all.  I haven't tried this finished product, but I have spoken to a few people that have tried the "new and improved" model, and all seemed to love it.   I wouldn't want to launch and land in a big surf with it on, and I didn't want to try putting it on while on the water,  but I am sure with a few tries, it wouldn't be a problem getting it on while you were out.    I just want to add that I am not trying to promote this product, I just thought that a few guys might find it interesting.

That's interesting.  A friend of mine, or actually a fellow coworker, has something similar to that.
