Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has had problems with weeds getting caught on the Pro Angler rudders? And if they do how you removed them while on the water. On my outback I would raise the twist and stow rudder to clear the weeds.
Thanks

I rudder up and down about 3-4 times quickly.  That usually does the trick even in the thick stuff down around Burbank.  Every once and a while I have to pull the Mirage Drive and pull the weeds off.

We run into that taking the short cut via SE channel around to get to the north side of the light house at Sunset bay. I pull up everything and just paddle until we are out of it. Otherwise you spend more time untangling weeds rather than gear ;D

Go backwards and pull up the rudder.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I'm going to get a Pro angler and am trying to be prepared. The Columbia up here has a lot of milfoil. The Pro Angler has the rudder under the kayak and I wasn't sure how to deal with the weed problem.
