Conditions for Sunday look like showers-rain so far, regardless of the weather I will be going out. Plan on hitting the water around 8am.

There are 2 state parks you can launch from but they are day use only (8am-5pm). I went down the to covered bridge parking area just off HWY58 and I think launching there will be no problem as long as you have help to carry your yak down and it is open 24-7 with free parking and has bathrooms too. Its a little rocky but as long as there is no wind it will work fine, plus launching there puts you just minutes from the fishing grounds.

I talked to my budddy down at the Lowell market, he said fishing has been a bit slow for some and good for others. He also said ODFW has been getting 30"+ Walleye in their nets up above in Lookout Point.

Count me in. If the bite is off, there are plenty other choices to move to just minutes away.

Think I'm going to stay dry this weekend and go to the saltwater fishing expo at the state fair grounds.

I may be interested just to represent the Upper Willamette (Oakridge).  Funny I have never fished Dexter, Lookout Point yes. What are you fishing for?

Have you been out on Hills Creek lately? That is one of my favorite lakes to fish locally.

Have not fished Hills Creek for months, it was looking very nice when it was low and clear but has come up a lot now.  been hitting the salt mostly. I may need a list of what to bring on Dexter?

Trolling gear (flashights/fenders/wedding rings/etc.), thomas lures, rooster tails, etc. is what Im bringing. I may throw in some power bait or worms too. I know the kids do pretty well with power bait off the bridges. I think I'm going to mainly target the trout.

I have never fished it out of a kayak even though I live 3 minutes from...go figure. Years past I did fish it in my PB and did fairly well trolling along the 58 side. I have heard good things on the east side of the cause way throwing lures, spinners, etc. in the shallower waters.

Mainly getting out to have a little fun, try the out the new T13 and hang with some "Kool Kats" from NWKA for the day.

Might be worth the venture, but I'll be bank angling/observing those on the yaks. Especially interested if you decide on lookout point.

There you go Tim----your chance to get on the water and give a Hobie a try. Might should oughta buy Flyguy a beer or two.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Looks like it may be a wet and windy one too. Hopefully we get the break in between storms.

If I get the opportunity to try it out, I'd be more than appreciative and it just so happens, I enjoy beer too!

So far, my plans are still wide open for both Sat & Sun - lots of possibilities, just needing to settle on what I'm going to when (end result will have my line wet).

** FTR, I must have TB'd something, as I'm getting all other notifications for this site, except for this thread. I apologize for the delay in reply. I've gone ahead and manually (attempted anyway) turned on notifications for this post specifically... hopefully I won't miss another one.
