April 12th Springers?

Will anybody be out fishing on Sat. the 12th?  I'll be in the Portland area for the day and would like to hit the water.  It's been a long time since I've "landed" a Salmon and would like to again.

This doesn't have to be on the Columbia, I'd fish the Willy if that's where the fish are.

If the Salmon are not biting or I'm lucky enough to limit out (yeah right), I wouldn't mind fishing for Sturgeon for a bit.

Going to try but no guarantee till the day b4 or so till I know.

Is anybody going to be able to hook up on Saturday?  Sounds like the Willamette might be the better choice.  I don't really care where I fish, I just want to get on the water for the day.

I'll be getting dropped off on the water and picked up in the afternoon so I won't be able to change locations  once I'm on the water.

I'm definitely fishing Saturday but I'm not sure where/for-what yet. Let me know where you land.

I'd like to get a couple people together.. I was also considering bringing my Sturgeon Gear is case I decide to anchor up for a bit.

Are there any specials regs at the moment?

I am not sure if I can fish this Saturday, but if I can I will let you know.  The only regs you need to know are, barbless hooks, 1 salmon on the Columbia, 2 on the Willy, all must be fin clipped and CR and only for Sturgeon.  Also I have smelt if you want some.   

My wife has dragon boat practice Saturday then a baby shower after that. I'd be up for a little Willamette action. Salmon or sturgeon is fine. Leaning towards salmon though. Sellwood sounds good!  Although I have never fished the area.

Mostly herring but I've heard that prawns are also working. I can't fish Saturday due to a baby class, otherwise I'd join you. A few of us plan on hitting the water this afternoon. I'll let you know how we do. Good luck!

I'm going to hit Sellwood and if nothings happening fish my way down to Hawthorn, but I was planning on going out Friday and Sunday.  I might be able to switch it to Saturday and if so I'd love to join ya.

I'll be around Portland on Saturday and Sunday. Probably fishing GR area but not sure about that yet.

Looks like langcod and I will be fishing GR for both sturgeon and salmon. Don't worry about bait for sturgeon. We dipped smelt a few weeks ago and have a ton.

Sounds like George Rogers will be the place to be then.  What time are you all getting to the water?  I don't plan on showing up too early since I'll be there the entire day.

I'll probably meander in around 11. I'm going to the George Straight concert the night before.
