Hey all. New to the kayak game, but hardly new to fishing. I'm a die hard salmon/steelhead guy who also really enjoys bottom fishing. The yak I just bought is hardly sea worthy, but I can hardly wait to get out and start killing fish this spring/summer. I purchased a 10' Lifetime Tamarak Angler. I bought it new at a price I couldn't pass up due to some errors in advertising by Sports Authority. I'm looking forward to using this site as a resource to add kayak fishing to my knowledge base, and stay on the forefront of this sport. Thanks to all involved with running this site to keep it up and running.

Tight lines all !!!!

Welcome YCB. That kayak doesn't seem totally unseaworthy, pretty wide and stable looking, scupper holes for drainage. Not the best option but i'm sure on nice flat days you could get out on the salt.  Just have the proper immersion gear for our cold water, learn proper reentry skills and your good to go!

Anyway, hope to see you posting up some nice fish soon..
See ya on the water..
