Fraser River Sturgeon

Was out yesterday with a buddy near mission in his jet boat learning the ropes.  Five hours on the water and not a nibble.  We did have a pretty thick one surface right next to the boat, but that was it. River was swollen and lots of very large timber in flow.

waiting for conditions to improve, and temps as im currently sans-drysuit, before I try one out of the yak.   just rigged up a 5lb graple anchor and chain,  looking for a good spool or stuff sack to keep the rope tidy.

zero fore two so far,  but I have a good feeling about next time

Hey Amphibious...For what it's worth, here's the most popular anchor reel/spool going. You may recognize it an extension cord holder, but I think if you scour the forum you'll see this in use more often than everything else combined. Also, here's a link to a really helpful thread on the same topic.

Yes, to quote Noah...."Why not?" And in the interest of this forum, as well as in the interest of being neighborly (despite International borders), a secret system sounds intriguing. Especially if it proves to be safer than what you've implied using a reel might be, by recommending against it.
