So I am getting some stuff together for the bass tournament this weekend. I have a few things. I never fished bass before so I would love some tips tricks. Trolling? Casting? Dynamite? Should I try and find structure and hit it? Should I just work the banks or in the middle of the water? Fishing depths?

I would appreciate any advice feel free to pm me if it is something super secret.

This is what I have minus my two rainbow rapellas

Thanks
Anthony

With the lack of fish Captain Redbeard, his wife and I were finding dynamite would have helped ;D.you got a good assortment of stuff.I wouldn't fish deeper than 10ft unless that's what your ff says.fish the rocks!!!!current breaks like boulders, trees Eddy's.

These fish will be looking to spawn in a while.they will be shallow less than 10ft unless the pressure drops drastically.they abound be in a better biting mood come Saturday good luck.

I'm going to say yes to everything you asked.  That's how I'll be fishing.

2 poles!  One with a search bait (crankbity/spinnerbait ect.).  The other with soft plastic (drop shot or texas rig).

Then I have to go buy a two pole endorsement.

WAIT!!!!!! That's not what he ment I don't think.I think what he ment was have 2 poles ready.use one to find the fish as in have a hit but no hookup.then switch rods toss a tube back in there can get the fish to bite.bass like trout don't respond well to the same lure going by more than 2 or 3 times.

Plus 2 poles and bass fishing won't go to well unless your trolling.I don't even know if you can use a 2 pole endorsement on the Columbia?

Oh gotcha. I plan on having three poles set up. I hope I can find my bass bugs and I will bring my fly pole.

Watch the fronts.  It'll make or break your take.  The bass are moving in toward shallows, back out to deeper structure, back in toward shallows, and back out to deeper structure, repeat through sprint....all based on the frontal conditions and temps.

Yep. A swim bait to locate fish ( there are many diff kinds of these ), and something for the bottom, as well as the top.  I have been getting some topwater hits the last couple of days.  They were smaller fish, but regardless, them bad boys and girls are starting to rise to the warmer surface waters.  Of course a cold front can stop that in it's tracks in a hearbeat.

So, be prepared to have equipment to cover the entire water column.
