Well it took a while but I finally got on some stripers out here.  The local river was blown out for the past week of the season but water levels finally dropped so I went out tonight.

I used to catch stripers down in the Bay area during the 70's.  Couldn't eat much out of that water back then---too polluted (taste like mud). Sure were fun to catch though.
Lake Mead --down in Nevada has some huge --like 35 lbs +--stripers that seem pretty aggressive also.
Rented a houseboat there when my daughter got married and cruised around for a couple of days--alas no fishing that trip.

Keep sending out reports Fil---glad to see ya getting on the water.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Never fished for Stripers but them fish look a lot like the Godzilla of the guppy in my fish tank.   ;D

Looks like a lot of fun!  Congrats on the nice catch!
PROGRESS IS JUST BEING THERE!
