hi im new to kayak's. but ive been fishing the nw for the last 33 yr's for salmon, steelhead, sturgeon and pretty much anything else that roams the lakes or river's. i was going to buy a kayak for fishing lakes and river's later like the columbia when i have enough experience. not sure which kayak to purchase just reading reviews online and such i was thinking the size of the kayak that fit's you may be by the size of the person and what type of water you fish. trying to learn as much as possible before i purchase one and try a few out as well. really interested in bass fishing as well. thank's scott

Scott.

Welcome to NWKA. I'm in Camas and would be happy to bass fish with you on Lacamas or whatever your favorite spot is. I have a few different yaks you can try. PM me if interested. I'm retired and pretty flexible time wise.

Scott, ya got some learning to do.   I researched for almost a year before I bought my yak. Settled on a trident 13.  So far, I am over joyed with my purchase. SW Washington has almost everything, so pay attention of what kind of fishing you will actually do.  Read, read, read.  Go slow.  Glad you are interested. I'm hooked...pun intended.

Scott,
This Jackson Cruise 10 is new to Washington. I got the first one to try out and it's my new small water boat. 53 pounds and stable enough to stand in. It's not something you'd use for Lings on the coast but if you're into lakes (trout and bass) its great. Send me a PM and I can set you up on a test run/fishing trip. I'm in Seattle, plenty of great bass spots right now. -Todd
