I am volunteering at Burien's Cancer 24Hr Relay for Life Saturday & Sunday and will be checking 3 Tree Pt.   I am a wimp and only fish in fair weather so I may take you up depending on time and weather.  I use to work in Burien and drove to the PT numerous times and wanted to fish out there.  There is a couple of marine access point to the beach, but very limited parking.  It has been some time since I have been there and will check out the access to see about ability to launch my PA.  Most of the beach is privately owned.   Another area North of there is Seahurst Park.  What is the time for high tide? I guess I can look it up.  I will keep in touch.  Thanks for the invite.

Low tide is not very low at 0900 and hi is at 1600.  There is another beach in the City of Normandy Park I recall that is just South of 3 Tree Pt. I was at a friend's wedding, but don't remember the beach layout.  I will Google Map it and zoom in to see accessibility and parking.

Well got out later than i wanted to this morning so decided to just go launch out of des moines marina and fished the remainder of the low slack think i was out there for two hours or so before the currents and wind drove me nuts... all in al it was fun though unfortunately no salmons or lingers, and even more unfortunate i hooked the biggest rock fish ever for me anyway thing had to have been close to 22 inches and atleast 5lbs released the brute and watched him swim back into the depths unharmed.  Other than that hooked about 5 flounders two were eatin size but decided to turn em loose and one tiny bull head on a 3.5oz dart (damn jig was twice the size of the feisty lil bastard lol).  gonna give the salt a rest and hit lakes till july when hopefully the kings decide to show up.

I was able to launch at the Normandy Park Cove. It got windy at about 1100 and caught 3 flounder non that I was interested in so they were set free.  Locals at the point told me where to go on Saturday which was across to Vashon.  This was my first outing in the South End in the Sound so I played it safe and stayed close to shore between 3 Tree Pt and Cove.  Next time I will bring my sail along and make the crossing to the local''s recommended fishing hole.
