ORC Prep Clinic! Green Dragon Pub 7-2!

This clinic will be focused on preparation for the ORC!!

When do we graduate to the how to post pictures to the members gallery class?

Is anyone planning on coming to this?  I might reschedule if there isn't a lot of interest right now.

I don't think I can but you might want to make it more focused on salt water set up with ORC right around the corner. Might drum up some more interest. Free beer also helps

Good call.  There will be free beer and pizza!!   I do need to know what kind of turnout to expect though.

And yes, I will be spending a good amount of time talking about gear selection for ocean fishing, which will include a lot of stuff that pertains to the ORC. 

Ok, here's the deal.  I'm going to reschedule this clinic for Monday the 30th at 7pm.  I'm going to modify this clinic to be mostly about ocean bottom fishing since we're getting so close to the ORC, but I will still talk a little about ocean salmon fishing and I can answer questions about bass and trout fishing if there are any.  We'll have beverages and pizza so come kick the Monday blues with your kayak fishing buddies!

Noah, what did he get that coho on?  I'm going to try Thursday.  PM me if you want.

Ok, I'm changing this again.  I know, ridiculous, right? 

Since ndogg is already doing a clinic for the CCA later next week in the same area, on pretty much the same stuff, we're just going to combine the clinics!  This will be Wednesday, the 2nd at the Green Dragon pub at 7pm.  For real this time!!

Thanks Jeff.  This should be a great presentation.  We are going to cover just about everything you need to know about the ORC, from gear and fishing locations right down to camping and dining.   
This is the first time the Portland CCA meeting is going to be at the Green Dragon so there may be a few kinks to work out.   The meeting room is in the back, through the brewery so you will have to be escorted in by our hostess.  If you get there early I recommend either hanging out at Next Adventure a 2 minute walk away or chilling at the bar until 7 so that we can be let in as a group.   I am sad to say there will not be free beer and pizza, but there will be good beer and good food and we will have a dedicated server.

Just to avoid confusion, Next Adventure is still marketing the clinic at the Paddle Sports Center tonight, even though I have moved the date.  I will still be there this evening to hang out and chat if you have questions.  I will bring some gear and go through some of the things I will plan on talking about next week but this can help to shape the conversation we will have at the ORC clinic at the Green Dragon Pub.

Thanks guys for organizing these clinics!  I may not be competing in the ORC, but still sounds fun to join in on the clinic part and the comraderie.
