Ocean salmon are here!  :headbang: Coho are in strong numbers from Long Beach, WA down past Newport.  Yesterday I C&R'd a native, killed a hatchery fish, and lost a strong take-down within about an hour while targeting coho.  Go find a beach, head out about a mile and fast troll a cut plug herring behind a flasher or run a dodger and hoochie.  Get your depth to about 10 to 15 feet down and you're in the game.  There are some chinook around too.  ;)

I hate you Jeff....

That looks like Haystack above your Boga Grip.

That where you got 'em ?
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Cool beans! The dory guys were limiting at PAC City, but were a ways out from what I was hearing.  I noticed on my last day (weds) they weren't all that far off. Next time. Great catching!

Thanks for the report Jeff.  I almost went yesterday but got yanked back to work.  I was thinking no bling because visibility has been great on recent dives I've made, but sounds like the krill has blown in.  Good to see some dungies too.  They've been playing hard to get.

The visibility is all over the place on the coast.  It varied dramatically where I was fishing. In close it was terrible, farther out it was pretty good but there were patches of cruddy water here and there.

1 more week of work and then I'm off until late August! Springers are starting to show up in good numbers along JDF by my place. Summertime, summertime, BRING IT ON!!
